will prove that the Communists' only aim is the
destruction of our National Revolution and that they
are prepared to enter into an alliance with their enemies,
even the militarists. In Kwangtung they have also pro-
voked the Peasant Corps to attack our troops. We have
been fighting for the sake of the peasants and workmen,
but the Communists have stirred them up to treat us as
their enemies. The peasants and workmen have been mis-
led but the Communists who have misled them, are indeed
evil-disposed and to be hated.
The methods they have employed for causing trouble

national revolutionary soldiers, but the revenues of our
Government are limited, and we have to be satisfied with
a low wage.
Since the removal of the seat of the Wuhan
Government the Communists have seized all revenues, and
have thus made us unable to pay our troops regularly.
They deliverately planned to cause us trouble. You all

ordinary expenses) was expended for military purposes
during the 5 months from July to November last year when
we penetrated 6 or 7 provinces with a huge force of
500,000 among whom there had only been 30,000 casualities.
Thus our average monthly expenses did not amount to
$2,500,000. Let me ask if there has been any other
